Dr. No
We are frequently told to find our own colors that can best represent ourselves.
And whenever I try to think which color would be mine, (not black -_-) this guy's face
pops in to my head.
I can guarantee that he has the most distinctive (probably eccentric) characteristic
among the TV stars.
Some people hold absolute abhorrence in him because he nearly 'fires' his words as if
he is in a race with somebody.
They feel a strong loathing for his eccentric, somewhat womanly fashion and feel dizzy
with his gaudy blond hair.
However, for some other people, he is a brand who lives at the spot where fashion, trend and humor meet.
I belong to the latter group. I especially like his self-confidence and his optimism.
He insists he was the ace of YMCA Baby swimming club and asserts that he can
swim across the Dover.
He says he is an idol star who is worshiped, and sometimes annoyed by a herd of girls(소녀떼) who is crazy about him.
(He even made a song that applauds his good-looking apperance and appreciates girls'
adoration of him.)
He even recklessly says he had a hard time when he had to refuse the seductive gaze of
김태희 who fell in love with him at the first sight. (he fortunately did not become a public enemy though.....)
Likewise, he is overly confident with himself and sometimes even brazen-faced enough
to idolize himself as a star.
Those who hate 홍철 condemn him for overacting and overemphasizing himself.
Whatever they say, to me, he seems to be a man with great confidence
and strong identity.
He is better than the any other people in that he has his own identity and thick, deep
color and he knows how to express himself to the others.
And above all, I envy him who knows how to seek joy and pleasure whatever he does.
He takes pleasure in everything he does and never loses his big smile.
("If it’s not fun, why do it?" is his motto of life)
Does anybody have guts to put a picture of your own face on the car window as he did?
